ROCK A THON WEEKEND
will take place on February 18th & 19th. If you are able to chaperone, please sign the sheet on the youth table, or contact Mrs. Grube at the church office 622.9910. The sign up sheet lists the times of the day/night for which you can volunteer.

A Rock A Thon meeting was held Sunday, January 22, in the lower Sunday School room. Nominations for this years "rock" included the ELCA Malaria Campaign, Juvenille Diabetes Foundation, Seeing Eye Dog Foundation, Trinity's Adopt A Child Program, American Cancer Society, and Camp Evergreen. The votes were counted and the kids chose to rock for Trinity's Adopt A Child Program. If you were unable to make the meeting due to the weather and would like to participate in the Rock A Thon, please contact Mrs. Grube as soon as possible.

The Adopt A Child program helps children in our church and our community with clothing and backpacks. At Christmas time, it helps families who would otherwise not be able to provide gifts for their children. Please consider supporting the kids this year as they work to support kids who really need a helping hand.

Support Trinity's Youth Attending the 2012 National Youth Gathering in New Orleans!
An "ALL YOU CAN EAT ITALIAN CUISINE VALENTINE'S DAY DINNER" will be held in Trinity Hall on Sunday, February 12, from 11 am- 2 pm. The menu includes: Italian dishes, breads, salads, drinks and delicious desserts. The cost for adults is $9, cost for children 6-12 is $5, and children under 5 eat FREE!!! Proceeds support our youth attending the 2012 National Youth Gathering. Advance tickets are available after worship services, or in the church office.

This scholarship intended to help youth who are currently active members of Trinity Lutheran Church as defined by our constitution; maintained a GPA of 2.5 or above; will be entering an accredited college, university, school of nursing, vocational/technical institution, commercial arts school, or other similar educational institution; and are currently seniors in high school, or a high school graduate who has taken time off (not exceeding one year) prior to beginning a post-secondary education.

The scholarship is a one year grant dispersed to the school. The amount of individual grants depends upon the fund's financial performance and discretion of the committee. The recipients will be announced in May.

Please note: The deadline for returning completed applications to Mrs. Grube is March 1, 2012.

2012 Vacation Bible School
This year, the VBS curriculum is called "SKY". VBS will be held June 11th thru June 15th, from 9 am to 12 pm. Anyone who is interested in teaching or being a group guide, please contact Linda Grube. Everything is possible with God!

Homework Help
Now that the kids are back to school, it's that time again for.....HOMEWORK!!!! There will be homework help available Monday through Thursday, from 3-5 pm, starting Tuesday, September 6. If you'd like to join our group or tutor, please call Mrs. Grube at 570.622.9910.
